This summer, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ College is investing more than $1.2 million to ensure students can pursue meaningful research, internships, and community-engaged learning experiences that prepare them for lives of purpose and impact.

This summer that passion evolved through her volunteer work with ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½â€™s Civic Education & Innovation (CEI) Summer of Service program with the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Fire Department and regional emergency response organizations. Rather than focusing solely on emergency response, the position introduces Trujillo to the many agencies working together to strengthen public health, emergency preparedness, and community safety throughout Poweshiek County.

The Community Mini-Grant Program is one way ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ College partners with local nonprofit organizations to support initiatives that build community strength and resilience.

The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Rocket Team successfully launches it's first rocket in competition.

Collaboration, care, and countless unseen details power the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ student-athlete experience.

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ College and the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Mutual Group Foundation have announced lead gifts totaling $475,000 in support of the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½-Newburg School Foundation (GNSF) campaign benefiting the new ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½-Newburg Elementary School project at Ahrens Park. ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ College has pledged $250,000, while the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Mutual Group Foundation has committed $225,000 to the foundation’s School Facilities Fund, helping advance community efforts to bring the full vision of the new school to life.

In May, a diverse lineup of events — from personal storytelling and perfumed oral histories to statewide networking and films from the Smithsonian — brought that mission to life.

The two-story house at 1527 Broad has had College ties for 125 years, but its latest incarnation may be its best yet, as it begins a new life as a place for alumni to get together, talk, and share experiences that are unique to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ians.
